Past CRCA Researchers

In Memory: Ben Maggos (Muir '03)

CRCA lost a friend and exemplary researcher when Ben Maggos, a former student researcher and ICAM major passed away on January 28, 2005. Ben was attending Arizona State University where he was a graduate student in the Arts, Media and Engineering program. He had worked closely with CRCA director Sheldon Brown to help build a 3D visualization of the new CalIT2 research institute, and participated in presentations for the project at the All Hands Meeting in 2004 and through poster sessions. Ben was a kind and wise soul who will be missed by friends and associates at CRCA and UCSD.

CRCA-Related Events

Over the summer CRCA takes a break from public events, so we try to promote activities and public presentations by our researchers. These may take place anywhere throughout the United States or internationally, and some have net components that allow you to view or interact with them remotely. We hope you will check back again for other exciting offerings by CRCA artists and researchers, and drop us a line if you'd like to be placed on our email announcement or event list: crca@ucsd.edu.

Have a great summer!
